Middletown High School Football
WALL Radio and Neversink Media Sport present: Middletown High School Varsity Football. MHS Football is the focal point for thousands of Middie fans!
The Bears took to the field as early as 1897, making theirs one of New York’s oldest continuous public-school programs. Their rivalry with Port Jervis—now celebrated with the iconic Erie Bell Trophy, has captivated the region for more than a century. Middletown has captured Section IX titles in 1994 and 2014, sent dozens of athletes on to collegiate play, and forged a legacy that resonates well beyond Faller Field.β
βAlumni pack the bleachers, students flood the student section, and families across Orange County tune to WALL Radio to follow every snap.

Michael Palumbo
Mike hails from the capital region, born and raised in the town of Ballston Spa, New York. Sports was his passion even as a kid because it was a way for him to bond with his dad growing up and continues to be the cornerstone for bonding in his family. Football, basketball, and baseball were all organized sports Mike played in his youth, though football and baseball were the sports ge excelled at the most.
Mike graduated high school from Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, where he was a part of JROTC, Varsity football and varsity baseball. As a senior he won a Section 2 Championship capping my baseball career on a high note as one of the best experiences in his life. From there, Mike went on to study sports journalism and broadcasting at Hofstra University in Long Island. There he continued to pursue his passions to become a professional fan of sports through television, radio, and play-by-play broadcasts.
Sports has always been something that has connected Mike to other people in life and something that he wanted to be around my whole career. When you listen in on WALL’s presentation of Middletown's football broadcasts, Mike hopes you get to know him as someone who brought energy and excitement to each game. He loves college football and considers it to be better than the NFL, because of the tradition and atmosphere fans bring to each unique environment. On Saturdays Mike roots for Notre Dame and on Sundays the New York Giants. When spring rolls around he'll be cheering for the New York Yankees alongside his mother and father.
